I disagree with the late 2 review scores. I also live in NYC, the basement studio apt of a brownstone. When I foremost struck in 2 years ago, the owners allow me keep the dehumidifier that they kept down here because they admitted that it get’s humid with the lack of zephyr circulation. My 3 horizontal slider windows are next and little (3′x2′), and they are totally locating on the same wall at the front of the studio. So, the breeze is terrible. There is too no radiators for heating. It’s hot in the summer, cold in the winter, and humid ever (but it is identical spacious & has a brobdingnagian paseo in closet & a freestanding ventilated laundry room… with the price it’s worth it ) I ordered this unit because it was the entirely dual hose ac/dehumidifier/heater that was ideal for me (the Whynter models’ hoses were likewise big for my window character and you had to take the 2nd hose in dehumid mode, and the Sunpentown models were likewise pricey for the BTU’s). I didn’t evening know this model was sold by Amazon, I felt out about doing a bing search, Soleus didn’t evening receive this model on the website, which ran me back to Amazon. It received everthing I wanted at the right price, only the reviews stalled my impulses. After farther enquiry I felt that SoleusAir doesn’t even receive this exact model on the website for some rummy reason, simply it has the models below it, the PH4-12R-01 & PH4-10R-01. Altogether the PH4 models are dual hose. I binged the exemplar number, and all the other online stores that sold it advertised as Soleus Air PH4-13R-01 dual hose. It isn’t advertised on Amazon as such, and the 1st reviewer, iSkyscraper, who didn’t evening buy the device doesn’t help either. However, iSkyscraper is 100% correct about portable units. His insightful information helped me to amend understand why I should by this unit… do not buy one without a dual hose. If you are look for a dual hose ac/dehumidifier/heater with neat BTUs… this is the best you are travelling to induce on Amazon.
