I bought my Garmin in March of 2010 and I love it! I need to do a map update, only for the virtually part, the maps are dead wonderful. It’s really accurate when telling you that you need to number shortly and gives spate of time to signaling ahead you have to turn. I may just me imagining it, but it seems to adjust to the swiftness that you’re going and tell you more in advancement of a routine if you are travelling faster. The screen is responsive enough, but will not respond to a finger nail, sometimes you experience to button more than you expect, simply it isn’t a problem. I prefer to zoom in a couple of times on the map7 because I feel alike the scale of the mapping is easier to read at that level, only1 there are many different zooms available. Mine doesn’t postponement a charger for identical long, only4 the chord is more than long decent to scope no matter where I place the unit. I’ve besides accidentally left it in the auto on 94 grade days and had perfectly no problems with it afterwards.After receiving this unit I was just got at what it could do, evening to the guide of no longer fearing getting Garmin nuvi 255W gps lost anyplace I took to go. What a nice flavor of security to know this unit will ever return me to where I desire to dead eve if I miss diverse turnoffs because I wasn`t paying aid to the very realize voice activations that tell you when to turn! 5 stars? I`d give it 6 were I able to. I am selfsame pleased with this TomTom GPS. Right out of the box, and onto the the window. Nary a single problem…just a small difficult to see in bright guide sunlight. The 340-S gives the street names which is a tremendous assistant when you haven’t a clue of where you’re at. Motorcar re-route, multi-lane guidance, night time screen options, different voices, destination telephone numbers, auto part increase allows for outside road noise the faster you go, speed limit alert…I TomTom XL 340-S could dead on and on. Merely wish it had a headphone jacklight to hook-up to stereo. I also get a Nextar that price me $300…the Nextar instantly simply sits in the box it arrived in beckoning me to get it out: I don’t see that happening any time soon. Cost plus options and quality = a identical satisfied customer.
